Hi All,

I am new to information steward.

I created few rules, and some records failed those rules.

EX: Failed records (Missing Address/State Name)

How can i update those failed records in information steward?

Thanks,

Kumar

Hi Drik,

Thanks for responding,

Is there any other way to do it?(Any other SAP Tool to achieve it?)

Depending on what other products you have, you could look at ETL (can export DQ rules into Data Services) and link in the address book.  Or you could look at an MDM solution or Back Office Associates Information Steward Accelerator.

Depends on your need.

Sure. Start with defiining a connection For data that failed rules in the CMC. When running a rule in IS, Save all failed data to that database. Now, you've got plenty of possibilities:

  • Give access to the data for manual correction
  • Export to a file. Have it manually corrected and load it again for further processing.
  • Use an ETL tool (SAP Data Services!) to correct the data.
  • Use MDG to federate.
  • ...

You may also look into the functionality of the Data Cleansing Advisor. That works in combination with DS Workbench: It generates cleansing code that can be exported into the Workbench.
