Configuration for Zebra Printer

Hi Experts,

We have implemented WM module and created custom transactions for RF menu and from there we wanted to print material tag with Zebra printer. We wanted to use it through ITS from where user can scan the inputs.

Now my question is how can we connect zebra printer and scanner with sap system. Are they are plug-in devices or do we need to do any configurations to print material tag. ?

Can anyone please help on this?

You may also need to consider:

Service accounts for each RF device to access the wireless network (background login too wireless network before user can enter SAP user/pass))

Device management software such as TelNet/Soti mobicontrol

Normally the RF unit is wireless but the printer, setup as network printer, is usually hard wired..

Hi

You will need to configure the scanners to point to your SAP servers IP address (your hardware supplier will be able to help with this) and ensure that your custom txns have been 'published' for ITS - Your developer should know how to do this.

As with any printer, you will have to set it up on SAP first. This is usually done by the BASIS team. Once the printer is then 'live' on SAP you will need to make the required config settings via OMLV.
