Hi all

I have PI SLD and SOL MAN SLD in the landscape.

I have to do Success Factors implementation with SAP PI. I have to create technical and business systems for ECC sytem.

If they are created in sol man SLD, will it be possible to do PI monitoring for the messages?

How do I transport ? Should I create TS and BS for PI also in sol man SLD?

What is the best practise

Hi Harish,

Please check the below link for SAP recommended SLD mapping in Solman,

http://scn.sap.com/thread/3425656

As per option 3. if you connect PI sld with Solman SLD , then it is not suitable for PI Monitoring.

If you have two SLD , then connect both SLD directly with LMDB in system preparation steps and set master SLD.

Karthik

HI Karthik

I am an SAP PI Consultant. I am trying to integrate ECC system.

I asked the BASIS consultant to create a Technical system in PI SLD, and he created it in Sol Man SLD. For integration perspective, I need Technical system and Business system of ECC system in PI SLD.

Now that he has created that, what should I do further to get the TS and BS in PI SLD?

Should I login to ECC system and go to RZ 70 and run the transaction again giving PI system details, Gateway Host and Gateway Service?

Or should we export/import the TS from Sol Man SLD to PI SLD?

Hello Harish,

If your solution manager is 7.X please export/import the TS from SolMan SLD to PI SLD

We are using PI as SLD and imported all TS from SOLMAN SLD to PI SLD.

Now I am connecting systems through PI.

This is the way we configured systems here

Thanks for all the support

Hello Harish,

Answering your question is really depends on version of SAP Solution Manager you are using.

If you are using SAP solution Manager 7.1 answer given by Karthik might be right but if, you are using SAP Solution manager 7.2 there is additional option to connect SAP PI System to solution manager for monitoring as you can see below...

I also want you to look at SAP notes as below which halps you in detail

2206072 - PI Domain data synchronization into LMDB of Solution Manager

1631346 - SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and 7.2: SLD configuration for PI monitoring

Please let me know if you have any question
