Hello together,

I want to Change some Buffer Parameters in the instance-Profile but after importing the profiles of all active Servers, I get the follpwing message:

You have no authorization to Change and Display profiles could not be activated

Changing Parameters and activating the Profile is also not possible.

I have also checked the file rights to the profile-directory but found no problems.Anyone an idea?

Best regards,

Mathias

Hello Mathias,

if the note 2157878 will not help, you can activate authorization check in ST01 to see, which authoriazion is missing.

Hi

You can also change the parameters for the operating system. In my case, the operating system is AIX.

Path: / sapmnt / ERP / profile. Will be the profile files of your application machines.

If possible, you can also check the objeto missing authorization for the transaction su53.

Hi Jack,

on OS-side it is possible. But how can I import the profiles in RZ10 after changing?

Mathias

Sorry, but only I know this way.

I believe that will have access to a user with authorizations.

It may be possible to release only locked objects. You can consult them in the SU53 transaction.

Thanks and hope to have helped.

In SU53 I found no Errors.I also traced the RZ10 session, without any results..

Changing the profiles-Parameters at OS-side is no problem. The problem is to activating in RZ10.

Hi Mathias.

At OS level check the permissions, refer the SCN Wiki link to find the profile folder rights

RZ10: Cannot generate backup file - Basis Corner - SCN Wiki

Hi Mathias.

1. Could you share the screen shot of profile folder ?

2. Have you do any changes in the share permission? \HOSTNAME\SAPMNT  ?

Hi SS,

here as the Folder screenshot:

to 2.) I've logged in as user p40adm and changed Parameters in the instance-profile without any problems.  So I think it's not a share permisson problem
