What is the business reason for achieving this? WIll it help if you can toggle between the document unit of measure and the base unit of measure?

Hi Bala,

You can  change the unit of measurement in SNC using /n/Sapapo/mat1 t code under unit of measurement tab.

But unit of measurement in SNC system for each material is always sync with ECC system .

Thanks&Regards,

Vishnu

Hello Balabrahmachari,

There is not any program available to change the Base unit of measure for a product in SNC.

The Product Master is CIFed from the ERP system. The Product change has to be done on ERP side and this has to be mapped again to SNC.

However, the Base Unit of Measure is such a Core Information of a Product that this cannot be changed.

Please note that if you try to modify this entry on the DB level, this would cause an inconsistency in the systems between ERP and SNC and all corresponding business document would collapse.

If you created the Product with a wrong Base UoM and you want to change this, then all the corresponding Business Documents (also the Schedule Agreements) have to be deleted on ERP, SNC and APO side and recreate from scratch with the new Product with the correct Base UoM.

Specifically, you can do so only under certain circumstances, including the following:

If there are no stocks of the material in the current period and in the previous period.

If there are stocks in the previous period, you can clear them as follows:

a) Post the stock in the previous period to the current period (for example, using movement type 561) so that the stock for the previous period is the same as the stock for the current period.

b) Clear the stock with the posting date in the previous period (for example, using movement type 562).

If no purchase requisitions, purchase orders, or scheduling agreements exist for the material

Please also check the notes:

1367831 - Product Base Unit of Measure can't be Changed

809596 - Product: Base unit of measure must not be changed

832595 - Product: Base unit of measure cannot be changed using CIF

Thanks,

Best regards,
