Message: Batch number of item cancelled- Message no V1255

Hello,

we have a batch ABCD created for the material X.

Now while creating sales order  and when we are giving manually giving batch no ABCD, system gives an information message that "The batch number of item 000010 is cancelled " -message no  V1255.

after pressing enter on the above information message, the batch no ABCD is removed from the batch field from item level of sales order and the batch field becomes greyed out ?

we are at ECC 6.0 level with support pack SAPKH60606 for logistics

what could be the reason for the same.

Hi,

Even I got same error, but in my Customer Service Process. Implemented below SAP note and my Problem got resolved.

2214016 - Message V1 255 is not required in repairs processing

apart from the suggestion given by mr. kivanc also check the Batch master Record under MSC2N for this material with plant

Are you sure you material is batch relevant? If the material is not marked for batches, you cannot assign batches to it in a sales document.

yes batch management is active in material master
