Unable to change password

Hi Experts,

I am using following iView to change password:

com.sap.portal.persoUserPassword

I am unable to change password using this iView. I am getting following error message:

"Password may not be changed."

Could you please let me know what is going wrong here which is prohibiting me to change password.

Please note that I am using EP 7. In EP 7, above iView is not supported. Hence, I have set ume.admin.wdactive=false in the ume properties using the configtool & then restarted j2ee server

Hi,

Are you using ABAP system as UME?

If yes ,,, please check permissions on back end..

Trace in ST01 on ABAP side and try to change password from portal ...
