unable to install sapgui710_22 for NW 7.0 SR3

I have below mentioned system installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard.

SAP Netweaver 7.0 SR3==>Central system==> ABAP

Oracle 10g

Windows 2k8 R2 64bit

The system is installed successfully.

Now, when I am trying to install gui710_22-10002995 for SAP Front-end or SAP Logon pad.

As given in MEDIA_INFORMATION_NW70SR3 document

I get below message :

With Administrative rights, I user below commands to switch to "install" and "execute" mode.

But still the same SAPStep message .....

Clicking "Yes" nothing happens

Clicking "No" pop-up below screen.

Kindly suggest.

Hi Trev Fernando,

You have executed a GUI patch file, instead of SAPGUI installation files. So make sure you have used the correct files. Please use GUI740 and latest patch according to SAP note 535308.

SAP GUI for Windows 7.40 is the successor to SAP GUI for Windows 7.30 which will be out of of support as of 14th of July 2015 (restricted support until 31st of October 2015). Hello Trev,

You are trying to install a sapgui patch without having installed the core sapgui from the presentation DVD.

As already mentioned by SS, 710 is outdated so you should install the 740 sapgui from the Presentation DVD and then install the sapgui patch.

You can use the SAPGUI 7.20 or 7.30 verion. SAPGUI 7.10 is outdated version.

if you go into control panel, users and groups is the user you are logged onto in the administrator group?

Also have you logged off and back on yet to retry?

could be some install executable still running in the background somewhere.
