ECL Viewer configuration

Hallo,

we want to replace our archiving system.

Therefore I want to test an other viewer for displaying and managing archived documents like invoices.

I’ve heart from sap ecl-viewer. I’ve downloaded the software and I’ve installed it local on my client.

Is it possible to use this viewer in the archivelink environment (e.g. attachment list in transaction fb03)?

Which customizing settings have to be done to use the ecl-viewer?

Hi Lukas,

Most likely your archived invoice documents are either TIF or PDF format anyway. So yes, you can use the ECL viewer to display those document, make sure you activate in OAG1 the setting "Include ECL control".

Hi Lukas,

You have 2 queries i believe.

1. Respect to ECL viewer configuration.

2. With respect to archive link.

1. The ECL is just a viewer to view documents like 2D 3D (CAD drawings) or PDF  documents can be viewed and few features like we can make some marking in it.

2. The archive documents of FB03 you can use GOS attachment from finance transaction and which can also be archived later.
