PO Alert time stamp issue

Hi Mates,

Please give some inputs on up gradation PO 7.4 SP 05 patch 0 to PO 7.4  SP12 patch 24.is there any issues will come and is there is any effects on previous interfaces.

Sap is given the note to change alert time stamp- 2304228. who will do this changes in system like basis or PI.

Solution

We provide a correction to make it possible to set user-specific time zones in the alert consumer job. The job AlertConsumerJobV2 offers a parameter "Additional" to add several advanced parameters. The additional parameter now allows a new setting for the time zone. The time zone can be set by adding "TimeZone=<time zone code>", separated by comma, to the additional parameter value. The time zone code can use one of the Java time zone ids. A full list of supported time zone ids is attached to SAP note 2088606 in file TimeZones.csv.

Example: Additional = TimeZone=Europe/Berlin,...

Hi Raj,

As Praveen said you can check the releases notes for every SP level in the SAP Help Portal.

With each SP there are new features introduced and bugs fixed. By the way from 7.4 SP07 the feature that you are looking for is available but of course it's always recommended to use the latest SP.

Hi Raj,

Every service pack contains new functionality and bug fixes, all these information you can find it in release notes for each service pack.

All the interfaces will work normally, Only you will get problems if PO 7.4 SP12 Patch 24 got any bugs but if there any bugs SAP will release the new patch immediately.

If you have PI sandbox then first upgrade sandbox and test most critical interfaces, if you happy with the results then upgrade the development, QA and then production.

Hi Raj,

You have to configure the AlertConsumerJob2. You can refer to the following documentation:

SAP Note 2088606 contains all the parameters that can be used in the AlerConsumerJob2.
