GTS 11.0 HANA SPL huge number of blocked records

Hi Experts,

Please provide inputs for below mentioned issue:-

Background:- We are trying to SPL screening of around 7 million records using SAP GTS 11 using HANA search.

Client has given us 200 test name which are used for auditing and they want to get 100% results on these test names.

We are getting 100% on test names. However the block records for total 7.2 million are around 300000 (5% approx) which is too high.

Please suggest if there are any tips to reduce the total number of block records.

We have maintained around 150 words in STOP list also.

Also could you please suggest how other organizations are handling the block records.

Hi Dikshi,

it is really a huge number of blocked records.

please check whether the same number of records you are getting when you run normally(without using HANA) using batch jobs.

create a Job with 20 steps and each step should have 1lakh BPs for SPL Screening. it will take some time (approx. 1day ). if there also you are getting the same count, then you can consider it as correct. otherwise you may need to do some changes in settings while using HANA.

my client have around 19 million BPs and we are doing C1 Screening every month using batch jobs and the block records use to be around 2000, not more than that.

Hi Srinivas,

Thank you for your inputs.

We are running scenario B1 to screen as it is initial screening. So we are running complete Business partner data with complete SPL data.

Could you please tell me how many number/percentage of blocks you got while doing the initial screening/ B1 screening and how did your client handle those blocked records?

Hi Dikshi,

We are not using the B1 frequently and we are using the C1 Screening (Periodic Screening against Delta SPL Files for all the BPs in the GTS System) .

and about Blocked records, we use to get around 0.01% (1942 blocks) the compliance team and Business team validate the BPs and release them if they found the BPs are good and remaining BPs moved to Negative list.
