Hi Sid,

Can you share a business background why you need to implement Fiori without Trusted RFC?

Thanks Masa and Ning for your quick reply.

The customer is not having SSO installed in their systems.

From our basis guy we came to know that for trusted RFC we need SSO.

Is there any possible way to implement fiori without SSO or trusted RFC.?

Sid

Hi S.,

To configure the Trusted RFC, you do not need additional software installed. It is done in SAP transaction code SM59 and SMT1.

ok. Then how do we fetch the data related to particular user.

what my understanding is, the trusted RFC used our userid to communicate to backend and if backend is having SSO installed, it do not need anymore user credentials.

In the current scenario, customer is not having sso. so how this communication happens and how does it fetch the data particular to a user.?

Hi S.,

The users in frontend and backend are the same. For example, user1 in frontend maps to user1 in backend.

In SM59, for RFC created, we select check current user in tab Technical Settings.

For more information about the Trusted RFC, please check Trusted/Trusting Relationships Between SAP Systems - Components of SAP Communication Technology - SA...

Hi S.,

For embedded configuration (frontend+backend in one system), no trusted RFC is required.

Hi Ning,

Its not an embedded system, its a central hub deployment.

Hi S.,

You have to configure the trusted RFC.
