Troubleshooting is a way of problem solving. It is the removal of potential cause of the problem. In simpler terms it is systematic process of search the problem and eliminate it.

Whenever you have any problem you can use trouble shooting. In case of XI all the process that we do for removing the possible cause of errors, come under trouble shooting such as SXMB_MONI, various components from RWB, manual checking of configuration and many more.

In earlier reply, there is already main troubleshooting guide, apart from it you can search on SDN for blogs/articles realted to your specfic problem such as Trouble shooting with scenarios, with IR, ID, RWB and many more as per requirement.
