hi
we have given the lan connection to xi and r/3
could you help me hoe to integrate these both systems so as to enable me to do
the idoc to file and rfc to file scenarios) ( i mean what are the RFC connnctions and ...to be maintained in xi and r/3).
Hi-
If the two systems are in the same network and connected through LAN you only need to do the following
In RFC import in connection data for import of SAP mention the R/3 system name and client. And it will connect to the R/3 system and you can import the RFC
In communication system for file sender you can specify the source directory where you have stored the file as the network path of that system.
Hope this helps you.

Hi,

and so on so i am i asking in tis angle wat are the prerequisites t configure r/3 to
xi
Kittu,
For RFC adapters, you need not do anything like that. Just follow the blog in my above reply and it will work perfectly fine. You can use a Business service for this. If you need to use IDOC or PRoxy, then you need to create WebASABAP technical system for R/3. Look into the blog by Vijayakumari for doing the same.

Also, if you need to use ABAP proxies,
