User permissions for <sid>obs in SUM Observer Monitor

Dear experts,

Recently, SUM 1.0 SP17 is released. It introduces the SUM Obsever Monitor.

According to the latest SP 17 SUM guide, to visit the obsever monitor, we have to create a user <sid>obs on OS level.

What kind of permission should I give to this user when I create it on OS level?

1, On Linux based systems, what kind of permissions? (For Linux, in the guide, I can find that I need to add it to the sapsys group. But how about other permissions?)

2, On Windows, what kind of permissions?

Best regards,

Mike Han

Hi Mike

no additional requirements, does not have to be an administrator.

Hi Boris,

Thank you for the input.

While on Windows, if we install the system as a Domain installation, which means the user <sid>adm is a domain user. Should I create the user <sid>obs as a domain user too? Or create it as a local user is enough?

Best regards,

Mike Han
