Hi I have a data mapping for Catalog but I notice that there is two KURZTEXT but with different description.
What QS42 displays is the KURZTEXT in QPGR or QPGT but I cant seem to find the TCODE that displays KURZTEXT that is stored in QPCT?
Can you explain to me? I have no background in SAP QM only in Data Migration.
example:
KURZTEXT = Code group for testing (this is the one in table QPGR or QPGT)
KURZTEXT = Blue (Table QPCT)
Catalog | Code Group | Short Description of the Code Group | Status of code group | Code | Code Short Text |
QPCD | QPCD | QPCT | QPGR | QPCD | QPCT |
KATALOGART | CODEGRUPPE | KURZTEXT | STATUS | CODE | KURZTEXT |
CHAR | CHAR | CHAR | CHAR | CHAR | CHAR |
1 | 8 | 40 | 1 | 4 | 40 |
M | M | M | M | M | M |
1 | COLOR | Code group for testing | 1 | 10 | Blue |
Hi
QPCT-KURZTEXT = short text of the code
QPGT-KURZTEXT = short text of the code group
note: the table QPGR does not contain the field KURZTEXT (like you indicated "...the one in table QPGR or QPGT"). Instead the text of the code groups in QPGR are all stored in the associated text table QPGT. In SE11 when displaying table QPGR, choose from the menu "Goto -> Text table"
QPCT is the text table for QPCD and therefore this field KURZTEXT contains the text of the code within the group.
Whenever you display a catalog (like when creating a QM message) you see a list of code groups (with a text) and when you drill down into it you see the code itself with its text.
