Cannot create access request in IE11

Hello Experts,

Few users are receiving below error.

Any note available to correct this issue. It is observed that only few users are getting this error. Every one else is able to raise GRC requests comfortably. Please help. Thanks.

2211271 - NWBC screen coming in blank while opening some links in IE11

Thanks a lot everyone for your effort in resolving this issue.

Finally the issue got resolved with below settings made in browser.

In windows search for Regedit and follow the path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl

Create the following folder : FEATURE_FORCE_NATURAL_TEXT_METRICS


Right Click on the folder then “New” then “Key”


Into this new file FEATURE_FORCE_NATURAL_TEXT_METRICS; Click on the empty part


Choose Value “DWORD 32Bits”


Change the new Item to iexplore.exe and Save


After this operation, close completely your Internet Explorer 11 and retry.


The same steps are followed in all users machines and worked well.

Hello Surya,


  • Try disabling all the third party add-ons and see if it fixes the issue.
  • Try running Internet Explorer in safe mode and see if the error happens.

Hello Rakesh,

There are no add ons and tried the second option as well. We have raised a message to SAP. Waiting for reply from them.

FYI we are on GRC 10 SP 20.

Hi Surya,

try users to check with Mozilla FIrefox brower its not if they have proper Java version it will work like anything i had such issues which fixed using firefox.

p.s: not sure your org will allow mozilla or not

Hello, May be you can check user access what access are missing from user who is getting the error. Or may be you can create a test id in quality system with the user id who is getting the error and then try to execute by yourself.

This is due to a bug in IE 11.

Can you also please check if the user has set the ZOOM level to exactly 100% in the browser used to submit the request.

Hello Manjunath,

The issue is ongoing from past one month. I have suggested to clear all browsing history temporary file, checked for any shockwave objects as add ons, unchecked the option "do not save encrypted pages to link etc."

Still no luck.   One more point to be observed it only few users are facing this issue on IE11. Other IE11 users are able to access without any issues.

Hi Surya,

SAP has also recommended using IE 11 from Jan 2016 onwards.

Can you check with any of the MS specialists in your team as this is happening only for few users using IE.

Hello Rakesh,

Please find the attached image. The error says "Corp.local is not responding"

There is an option to recover webpage. When user clicks on it, the page simply goes blank and does not respond.
