How to Select Media for SAP IDES ECC6.0 with Ehp8

Hi Expert,

    I am new in basis, my client has purchase ECC6.0 Ehp8 and sybase 16 DB. They need a IDES system for practice or training purpose. I am assigned to install IDES system. I am confused for download media, which is right to download.

Could you please send me list of media with Sybase 16 DB . Can i use my sql as DB for IDES, if yes then please also media for this.

Hi,

EHP8 is not available for installation of SAP IDES ECC 6.0,currently available version is IDES EHP7.

1. I need to install sybase before ecc6.0 installation like as Oracle DB or sybase will be install with ECC6.0 installation.

2. which option need to be select to install SAP IDES from SWPM  net wear 7.4 option or Business Suite option 2013 release 2.

My SQL is not supported.

For which DB is supported, please refer to SAP PAM https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/support/pam/pam.html?smpsrv=https%3a%2f%2fwebsmp10... and search for ERP 6.0 EHP 8.

   Thanks for your support. I am followed path, when i am going to select Window server , then DB option SQL server not available . it show only DB2 , ASE, HANA. Could you please help on this .

It seems IDES version for EHP8 is not yet released. Please refer to  link

Newest Releases

please read sap note 2209434 - IDES ERP 6.0 incl. EHP7 (Release 2015)

You will get the path of EHP7 medias ides version. I don't have ms sql in my landscape i cannot share actual material number.

Please read installation guide before you proceed. You will find the installation guide in below link.

No you don't need to import any thing from any database.

Practice data is coming through export which contains additional data and pre-delivered clients, users, and other data. you would be using these exports during installation. It can be downloaded from the path mentioned in above sap note.
