Fiori Hub Deployment: HANA required?

Hi Gurus,

We are going to be deploying Fiori in a customer's environment, they will be implementing S/4HANA 1511.

With an external Fiori/Gateway server not located on the same box as the S/4HANA App/DB server, does Fiori require its own HANA database, or can we see all the performance increase from S/4HANA back-end server if we run Fiori NetWeaver server on MSSQL/Oracle?

Hi Steve,

You can use any DB for the frontend server which has SAP_UI and SAP_GWFND components.

Hi Steve,

I agree with Masa. As there is minimal data stored in the Hub system, it makes financial sense not to have Hub system on HANA. Almost all customers I saw, use this approach.
