Hello Experts,
We have defined firefighter id as dialog userid in our project and to complete license audit all user account needs to be tied back to a license type. Has anyone had experienced this before and what license type was used to map for the firefighter id. I assume this wont be same as regular userids since firefighter ids are not used directly by users.
Any suggestions ?
Regards,
Pankaj.
License is applicable only for Dialog users. Service/system users are not licensed.

Salman

Hi Pankaj, All FF users should be service user. Maintaining them as DIALOG user is a security breach...

Hi Pankaj,
As suggested by Patrick, FF ID's should be of Service user type in the plug-in system.
Kindly refer the below KBA for more details.
1702439 - Firefighters are not able to login

Well, there are some potential issues with using FF id as service as mentioned in below notes hence we have used Dialog Userid. My concern was if anyone has created a different license type for userid type apart from regular users and in what scenario.
1586989 - Object Services icon not available in Firefighter ID session
2189859 - Error Message When Clicking on Additional Information
1588075 - SSO fails for service type users in FF session
1796682 - 'User Type must be Dialog User' Dump comes when FFID tries to login to NWBC
1586989 - Object Services icon not available in Firefighter ID session
2189859 - Error Message When Clicking on Additional Information
it say firefighter should be dialog not firefighter id(user who usess firefighter service are firefighter)
1588075 - SSO fails for service type users in FF session
this is related to webdynpro, where user should be dialog or communication.
1796682 - 'User Type must be Dialog User' Dump comes when FFID tries to login to NWBC
again in NWBC user type should be dialog same reason logon ticket .
now coming to your requirement.
FFID should always be service user.. if you can search notes you will get it.

I would recommend changing the Firefighter ID to user type S (Service).
