Location of dataSourceConfiguration_abap.xml ?

While setting up ABAP as the UME active store, where does one upload this file?

Could not find this info in sdn and help pages,

Hi,

You do such configuration using the configtool.

Login to configtool. Use default settings. Then move to Configuration Editor mode. Navigate to cluster_data->server->cfg->services->propertysheet.co.sap.security.core.ume service.

Here you can see your Active data source.

Now you can use a download mechanism in the configtool to write the XML configuration file and then upload the same.

How to do this. Click on any of the sheets. You can see the XML file and the details. You have the option to download. Do so in your harddisk/server and then make necessary changes and then save it, and upload from the same loaction proceeding the same way as download.
