SAP HANA Database Lifecycle Manager (HDBLCM) isn't installed

Dear experts,

When installing SAP HANA database, instead of using hdblcm/hdblcm, we used hsbinst

As a result, when the installation finished, we realized that HDBLCM is not installed.

Can I know how can we install HDBLCM?

Hello Zulfa,

You can install it apart of the installation if you did run install Hana by hdbinst only, from the installation media run the following command :

./hdblcm --sid=<SID> --action=update --components=hdblcm

It will install the hdblcm for you.

We have a similar issue although we didn't use hdbinst (we used hdblcm tool instead). None of the solutions described in note 2078425 as well as this one proposed in this thread was helpful in our case. In fact hdblcm is installed and is working  as cmd and web ui. The only trouble for this moment is this false alert.

It seems, that this issue appeared begining from the 1.00.112.2 or 1.00.112.3.

Last time we updated HDB to the second version.

Have you got any ideas what could help in our case?

Currently, there is no installation document mentioned that DB server installation is done by hdbinst.

So please use the offical tool hdblcm to install.
