Hello,

after an upgrade to 12c no statistics will updated any more. We receive an "BR0863W No tables/indexes found to update/delete statistics" for all brconnect- Statistic operations. In the DB20 we can seee that some statistics are not actual.

What can be the reason for this behavior.

kind regards

Lutz

Hello

i got the same situation.

the brconnect was running fine from unix session.

but from Db13 i had this message.

our issue was the version of the brconnect.

from unix it was running brconnect from /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run as on DB13 it was running from /usr/sap/SID/ASCS01/exe.

don't  know why but the version was not the same and old in ASCS01 dir.

May be the version of brconnect you have is not ok vor oracle 12.

hope it will help

best regards

Patrice

Hi,

First thing to mention is the having statistics that are not "actual" is not a problem.

Second thing, the "standard" brconnect command does not "calculate" statistics.

What it does is follow some rules to see if statistics are needed.

In your case it has decided that new statistics are not needed.

Why? Impossible to say with the information you have provided.

If you attach the log file it might be possible that we could figure it out. Otherwise it would be guessing, looking at a crystal ball, vudú  or something like that.

BTW, did you force statistics after the upgrade?

Hi,

yes we did force statistics after the upgrade. Regardless of what option we have selected (also with the force option) we receive always the warning  "BR0863W No tables/indexes found to update/delete statistics". brconnect gives no more informations to looking at a crystal ball.

kind regards
