Hi,
I cannot understand what the difference between the SAP standard key figures: 'Expiring Qty' and 'Projected Wastage Quantity'? can anyone explain?
Thank you
Alexander
Hi Alex
Please find the macro definitions for both the KF.
● Expiring Quantity
Displays the total quantity of stock or receipt elements in a bucket that are no longer usable from this bucket on.
● Projected Wastage Quantity
Displays the portion of the quantity displayed in key figure Expiration Quantity that needs to be discarded in the current demand situation.
As you can see below, in Projected Wastage Quantity it would also consider the demand requirement till the expiring date and provide you remaining quantity which could be strapped. Projected Wastage Quantity is more like dynamic KF which could change based on demand situation.
Please let us know if this information helps you.
Thanks

Hi Alex
For example, you have stock of 1000 Qty which is about to expire on 31 Dec 2016, then ideally you will see 1000 Qty Expiring Quantity. But if you total demand of 800 till Dec 2016 then you should see only 200 as Projected Wastage Quantity Qty.
Please cross check from your side and close the thread according to
Thanks
