Hello everyone,
sorry if it's kind of a "stupid" Question but about 6 years ago a colleague of mine installed an SAP Content Server and he can't remember anything about it.
Now it is up to me to figure out a lot of things ... 😞
First of all:
How will I know what's the exact Version of this Content Server ?
Running OAC0 and CS Admin on an SAP System that is connected to this CS it says:
Version 640
Build 23
pVersion 0046
So what do I have here ? The 6.40 or the 4.6 ?
Next Problem is:
Whenever I search Google for Information about SAP CS there's talk about MAX DB ...
Well ... On our CS I find no Traces of MAX DB. Is it possible to run a CS without Database ? How can I find out ?
And finally:
The CS is located on a System that is running AIX V6 and we need to perform an OS Upgrade to AIX 7.2 soon.
Are there any chances that this CS is going to run fine on AIX V7.2 ?
How can I make sure ?
What about apache 2.0.63 that comes with the CS ?
Case I have to upgrade the CS in order for it to run on AIX V7.2:
How would I proceed ? Would I have to perform a complete new installation and migrate the data ? Or is it possible to just run some kind of "update installation" ? What if there is no MAX DB involved ?
Regards,
Thomas
Hi Thomas.
Please take a look:
Content Server - SAP Content Server - SAP Library
Do you know how to use SAP PAM? All the information you need is there.
https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/pam
Based in the information from PAM, and reading the SAP documentation, oyu will reach a conclusion for the upgrade.
