Hi Expert,
My SAP HANA Log backup is growing very fast i.e 3.8 GB daily.
I have around 40 Users in the system and following parameters are defined in the system
log_mode = normal
auto_log_backup= Yes
log_backup_timeout_s = 900
DB Backup Size =80 GB
Please advise if it is normal or there is any way to control the same.
Regards
Suri
3,8GB is very very small size
In our production we have around 1TB of log_backup per day.. but ok.. it's a database of 3,5TB of data...
than, you can increase the value of log_backup_timeout_s = 900 (this parameter tell when a log has to be backupped though the segment log is not filled).

You can set up an clean up job of old backup logs.
or
You need to move the old backup logs to a different location.

I would check the status of the logs.
Makes sure to reclaim Free logs:
ALTER RECLAIM LOG

Hi Sury,
3.8GB per day? it is not large.....
The size of log backup depends on what and how many changes have been done in your DB.
