Alert for SM58 entry for stuck Idoc

Hi

The issue is about getting alerts for sm58 stuck idoc entries for PI system in R3.

We want to ensure whenever it gets stuck it should send some alert.

CCMS alerting could send alert only when sm58 entries reaches to threshold of 10 (defined) entries and not when it is lesser.

Basis cant customize the alert as per PI entry and reducing alert than what is defined in threshold also doesn’t look feasible.

How can we get alert even when single idoc for PI system is stuck in sm58. Please suggest

Thanks Krishna for your reply. We are on 7.31 dual stack and going for an upgrade to PO7.5. We have solman monitoring in place. The setup you suggested wont work in this case. I am also going through 441269 - Setting up tRFC/qRFC monitoring in the alert monitor ; Basis guys suggested that they cant customize the alerts and cant reduce the Threshold hence looking for some alternative solution. Customisation of threshold value in CCMS monitoring also not feasible.

Can anyone suggest any solution.

Hello SAP PI,

For SAP PO 7.5 there wont be any ABAP stack and hence no SM58.

What exactly your looking for?

Thanks for reply and sorry for the delayed reply.

As of now we are using CCMS monitoring and want to customize sm58 alerts for qRFC & sm58 stuck entries which basis team issue alerts only when threshold is reached.Cant we customize the threshold limit.

Ex, if the entries exceeds 50 then only they can generate alerts.
