Meaning of [thr ...] in the developer logs

Hi, when I go through my developer logs in the work directory of my SAP system, I see that every line starts out like this:

[Thr 7084] Sun May 22 06:59:06 2016

[Thr 7084] ***LOG Q0I=> NiIRead: P

OR

[Thr 5828] Wed Jun 01 04:42:33 2016

[Thr 5828] ***LOG Q0I=> NiIRead: P

My question is what does the part [Thr 5828] or [Thr 7084] signify? If someone is aware of this, can you please elaborate? Thanks in advance.

Hello Parthasarathi,

Thr = Thread

and the number is the thread ID.

As you probably know, you can have multiple threads running in a process, so the trace file will help you identifying one given thread that is handling a given request.

Kind regards,

Cris
