"Foreign key violation"

Dear all,

I am facing the following issue,

When managing data in the excel addin, I come up with an error that tells me "foreign key viloation", "check that the matching value exists in object ....".

However, the foreign key that I introduce (combination of two or more key attributes from different tables) is unique.

Would anybody have the pleasure to inform me about what does "check that the matching value exists in object..." means?

Hi Vasilis,

The foreign key violation basically happens if, say in some Compound MDT you are putting in values, in Key field, that are actually not part of simple MDT.

Could you please check if there are any such cases,
