How to perform system refresh of source system/Target systems without initial load

Hello,

We have SLT replication scenario where we have to refresh Source/Target systems of Production to quality system. After the refresh we have to perform initial load and this is causing delay in project testing as initial load for big tables takes very long.

Architecture Setup:

Production:

Source system SID PRD

SLT System : PT1

Tarrget HANA sidecar system SID : PR1

Quality:

Source system SID QRD

SLT System : QT1

Target HANA sidecar system SID : QR1

In this case QRD gets refreshed from PRD and QR1 gets refreshed from PR1. The backup is taken around same time to keep them as close as possible but not exactly at the same instance of time. QT1 is not involved in refresh.

We followed SCN http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10c14106-564e-3310-cf86-be80a6c27...

but still it does not work and we still have to perform initial load.

Is there any additional step that needs to be performed for this to work?

Yes, We already tried this one but it did not work. I have looked at other blogs and could not find a confirmation about this procedure working for anyone.

I would appreciate if you can verify if this really worked for you and you do follow this as part of regular system copy procedures?
