Change-pointers not processed for message WBBDLD

Former Member

Hello,

I am currently facing a critical issue on POS interface.

I made all customizing on change pointers for message WBBDLD. This step is ok as I can detect changes linked to assortment list in table BDCP2.

When transactions WDBI_HPR/WDBU_HPR are launched, IDOC WBBDLD are successfully created. But when checking table BDCP2, I don't find any entry updated with field process to 'X'.

I used transaction WDSR but unfortunately without any effect.

I think that some customizing steps are missing but I can't find which one…Do you have feedback on such issues? Is there any document available such as best practises ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Alex

Hi Mathieu,

Generally, even if those flags are not updated, SAP will not send them twice. Internally it keeps a track of change pointers processed. Though I have not seen them marked as processed. If I am not wrong, there are few SAP notes on that, which I can find later and update the thread.

We generally, don't worry for this flag (because SAP will not send data more than once) and at the same time, schedule the job for deleting obsolete change pointers from tables due to performance issue.

I hope this help.

Regards,

Amit

Hi Amit,

Thanks for your quick answer.

I had a look on SAP notes and I applied some of them. I'm very interested by your list, Id' like to compare with my own search.

Hi Mathieu,

One more think i could re-collect. On the selection screen of WDBU_HPR, there is a radio button "Reorganize Only - Do not delete". First please select the check box Condition Pointer and then select "Reorganize Only - Do not delete" radio button. When the pointers are processed, the entries should be marked as processed in BDCP2 table.

Let us know your findings on this.

Amit

Hi Amit,

We are using exactly the same parameters in batch execution.

In parallel of my post, one of my colleagues opened a call to SAP. We received similar answer and explanation as yours. We also applied some SAP notes with significant effects.

Thanks for your help!

Alex
