Dear Experts,

I have just installed IDES on my Laptop. See the link below to find out the system specification and the problem I faced during my Installation and the solution to that problem.

   https://scn.sap.com/thread/3907296

After successfully installation of IDES I installed SAP Gui 7.3 on my same system. Now when I double click on my SAP Logon entry for the first time an attached ABAP Runtime error occurred.

.All the processes in Sap Management Studio are running.

Some Information:

              Hostname :  bassam

              Instance    :  00

              SID           :  IDS

I doent seem to figure out what is the problem. Please help!

If any further files/information is required do let me know.

Regards,

Bassam Jamil

Hi everyone,

I was able to solve the problem. It turned out it has something to do with my network connection.

What was the problem?

My LAN adopter driver is not compatible with windows server 2008 and it showed yellow triangle on it in device manager but the wireless driver is working fine and has no yellow mark. Alll this time when I was trying to login I was not connected to wifi. When I tried to connect it when I was connected to wifi it all of a sudden logged in.

Although I have installed IDES on the same system and windows on which sap gui is installed but I still fail to figure out what it has to do with the network connection.

Thanks for everyone who responded.

Regards,

Bassam Jamil

Hello Bassam,

This error seems to be a SAP GUI error.

Can you uninstall and install SAP GUI 7.4 and try again?

Can you see the WPs on AS ABAP WP tables on SAPMMC?
