Hello,

We are upgrading from ECC 6.04 to ECC 6.07.

We are getting the following errors in MAIN_TRANSEXEC/PARCONV_TRANS:

Hi Benoit,

Can you please tell us the database and its version?

if the version of the database is 11g or 12c , then check the compatibility parameter for oracle.

I think its a compatibility issue.

Good morning,

The db version is 12.1.0.2.0.

The problem is not related to the db version.

It is the one documented in Sap Note 2311092.

We have solved the problem by doing:

stopsap r3

downgrading the kernel (745->742) in /sapmnt/SID

startsap

But then there is a error in PARMVNT_TRANS.

Upgrading the kernel to 745 and running sapcpe solves the pb in PARMVNT_TRANS.

1. I have another question how could I avoid 745->742->745 upgrades when performing my other systems?

2. If I implement the Note 2311092 before the upgrade, would it solve the problem?

3. Is there a kernel patch version of 745 that avoids this bug?

Hi Benoit,

Answer to your Ques 1 & 2 is in the sapnote.

To avoid the problem, implement the attached correction instructions in the source system before the upgrade or import the specified Support Package.

For question 3 try searching for regression notes for the patch level you wish to go for, for Kernel 745.

Instead of replacing the complete kernel set, have you thought about changing / updating just the DBSL files and see if that helps? I would first do that.

As the note mentionned the whole kernel. It is the only thing that I have changed.
