Hi All,

We configured two printers in SAP as below,

HP Laserjet M606 with Device type ZHPLJCM1 as suggested by HP.

Kyocera Model as KYOAAAJC as a Device Type.

Issue:

Using VL10A the same invoice were given to print from the two different devices,

Result:

HP Laserjet M606 has few extra lines which are appearing in the invoice like below,

Whereas the output of Kyocera is perfect as below,

In fact i have changed many "Page formats" for HP but the result is still the same.

Can anyone provide your suggestion on this?

Regards,

Jegan Raj

Hi,

What kind of technology is used to produce this output (ABAP list, Smartform, Sapscript, something else)? How are the "lines" drawn? They appear to be drawn using symbol(s) - why..? If they are drawn using symbol(s) - what symbol(s) are those, and what font is used?

cheers

Hi Janis,

The SAP Printing is based on Smartforms and the issue is resolved now.

We compared the fonts between two different output devices through raw format in SP01 and came to know that HP device type which we selected didn't use JPMINCHO font whereas other printer set up in SAP which is Kyocera supports JPMINCHO.

Once we identify the device type which supports font JPMINCHO then it started working with correct alignment.

Thanks.
