DDIC password

HI all

i am trying a system copy form AIX on Oracle to SUSE on Oracle

i finished every thing but it stop at asking me of the old DDIC password and for some how i do not remember the old password 

any Ideas ?

Target system already running (= db already imported etc.)?
If yes you could login with a different user, change it and use this password for SAPINST...

As long as it i asking, you can provide the correct one.

If you do not know it, just login with another user and set it as you like.

If you do not have any user, you might need to delete SAP* at DB-Level to "break in".

You might need to set login/no_automatic_user_sapstar and stop/start the instance

to be able to login with sap* and "pass".

You will need the DDIC password in client 000 of the source system. If you don't have it, you can't proceed with installing the target system. In that case, you may need to go back to the source system, update the DDIC password there, and re-export it, then use the new export for installing the target system.
