Unable to contact Adapter Engine

Hi guys,

I have the following problem when I go to the ID and see the cache notification:

Unable to contact Adapter Engine "af.m70.sapm75" that is affected by the data changes

Unable to establish http connection "https://sapm70.company.com:50001/CPACache/invalidate"

The basis team moved this server some months ago and one of the main stuff that they changed was the sysnr so now we are accessing the 50201 so I think XI is trying to use the oldest port. I checked the Exchange profile and I cannot see any 50001 port set.

We have applied the note 971670 but still have the problem.

So do you know if there are some other parameter that may be we forgot to change?

Where ID is getting that URL and port in order to invalidate the cache?

thanks in advance.

Hi -

>>>Where ID is getting that URL and port in order to invalidate the cache?

Probably from the SLD. The Adapter Engine (along with the XI Tools and Int. Engine) register their URLs in the SLD when the system is started).

In your J2EE Visual Administrator tool, check the following settings in the "SAP XI AF CPA Cache" service:

SLD.selfregistration.httpPort

SLD.selfregistration.httpsPort

SLD.selfregistration.hostName

I guess the https port setting (in bold above) is the most relevant for your immediate issue. If it's showing 50001 as the port there, this is probably the source of your issue. You can change it accordingly and then (stop and start) the following application components for the change to take affect:

com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app

com.sap aii.af.app

This would be from the Visual Admin Deploy Service (Applications radio button selected).

Steps are more detailed in Note 804124.

Hi Jin thx for reply, well I think thats the reason I sent that note to the Basis team but I think they didnt apply it well, so I changed the maintenance manually and it works so, I think we must apply again that note.

Well thanks again.
