SAP Fiori Apps

Hi Experts,

SAP mentions that FIORI Apps works seamlessly across all the devices such as desktop,smart phones,tablets etc.

Suppose there are 10 Fiori apps for Account Payable Role which are activated for use through desktop , but we do not want to activate 3 of those apps (out of 10) on mobile because it may have security concerns (app for payment approvals, etc.)

Can a FIORI app be activated only on a particular device - for example desktop ? If so then please explain how it is done ?

In addition to above comment.... Yes, it can be done. For that you have to Run the Fiori Admin Page and select the Correct Catalog and click on Target Mapping; Deselect the Phone and Table. This way, you will be having app for only Desktop. For example-

Per above example, this App (Profit Analysis) won't be available on Mobile Phone.

Yes, you can configure Fiori tiles to be visible only on specific device types - namely desktop, tablet and phone. You can open the launchpad designer and open the catalog where your tile resides. Then under the Target Mappings tab select your target mapping and click on the Configure option in the footer. Here you will find 3 checkboxes next to Device Types. The tile will only be visible on the launchpad for the devices types that have been checked here. (For e.g. if you do not want the tile to appear when logged into the launchpad from a phone, just uncheck the Phone checkbox).
