Advantages of Interactive Forms?

Hi Experts,

1) I would like to know what are the advantages of using Interactive forms?

2) Why should we go for Interactive forms?

3) Can u pls give me some scenarios where these will be mostly used?

Another one to add is that you can using this technology bring disconnected users to particapate in your business process. For example, a leave approval, the manager approving the leave request does not have to logon to the system and perform the step. Instead he/she could be mailed an offline interactive form and can perform the step from within the mail tool.

Ravi,

Regular forms are rendered by the application for print out. They do not accept user input back to the application. Interactive forms allow data to be entered by the user and sent back to the application. If you need this feature then you would want interactive forms.

Legal requirements sometimes dictate that data on a form be archived exactly as the user saw it and filled it out. In this case, it would make sense to present the form to the user, accept the input and save the form as seen.
