Hi Guys,
Please can I get some guidance on making the following changes.
I need to default the values for change documents in the following fields
IT Operator
Change Manager
Thanks
Sameer Alladin
Hi Sameer,
You had two option to proceed this,
1. Use the BRF + to determine these values.
2. User access sequence to determine these values.
I hope above options will resolve your query.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I am trying to get the IT Operator field as well as the Change Manager field to default on change documents to prevent users from changing these when creating a change document...
I havent come right fully as yet, but I am going to continue with it tomorrow and will get back to you guys...
I have been using the links... I have used the following route to achieving this:
Transaction SM_CRM - Service Operations - Rule Policy - Created a new rule policy
My options for the conidtions and entries are limited... so I tried using transaction type as the condition attribute and route to a partner as the value for the entries... but even after activating the rule it doesnt change anything... still trying to figure out what step I could be missing... or if I should be using a different attribute or value...
Will keep you posted...
Thanks guys

Hi Sameer,
Sure please try these links and check if in the partner determination procedure, you may need to remove the partner determination sequence if you are using policy or BRF+.
Secondly you can use these access sequences also you can achieve.
First assign the change manager as a role in your BP for that particular user, and then created the Business partner ->Change manager.
I hope it will give you insight.
Also for BRF+ you need to run the simulation test, if simulation test is working you need to assign the application id etc to your actions as described.
thanks

Hi Sameer,
There are various ways of achieving it but you need to make sure the exact requirement in detail.
e.g. do you meant that it is default based upon certain status or priority like whenever we have NEW status etc or always and then implement or configure it accordingly.
Please check the links Rishav shared above for access sequence or brf+ etc but the real conclusion will be based upon your requirement.
hope this helps further and let us know further.
Thanks
