MDM Performance Issue

Hi All,

We are facing performance issue while loading our repository in MDM. The size of our repository is about 180 MB as it is havign around 95 lookup tables with enormous number of fields.

Previously when we are trying to load our repository is getting loaded in 45 mins to 1 hr but suddenly now when I am trying to load, it got hung from last 2hrs.

Could any one please suggest what the problem is??

Hi Tony

Try to reduce the numer of "keyword" fields in your repository. The reduction will speed up your load time.

During the repository load does it spend a lot of time on any one particular table? For example if it's spending a lot of time loading records protected by workflows or the WF tables themselves you might need to clean up old/completed workflow items. We had that issue a little while ago.

Also check if the connection of the MDM server witht he DB Server is ok, ping both ways to know the response time.

I have added a few fields (4-5) in our repository. Nothing much.

ok , what type of these new fields are ? you would have changed maps also for the same . Also how many records the repository have . Hope you would have used 'Update Indices' option while reloading repository after changes .
