Component Based Alert Rule for Classical Configuration

Dear Experts,

I am working on 7.4 Dual Stack and I have created Alert Rule and configured required settings in NWA. I have added Configuration Scenarios in ID each for both Classical and ICO. I am receiving alerts for ICO but not for Classical Configuration.

Is there any other configuration I am missing?

Thanks in Advance!

Regards,

Shashi

Hello Shashi,

In Integration Engine configuration (tx. SXMB_ADM / SXMB_ADMIN / SXMS_IECONF), please check parameters ALERTING_IS_ACTIVE and ALERTING_TARGET (area MONITORING) - they both shall have value '1'.

Following blogs describe these parameters and their usage: and . Additional information on these parameters can be found in help documentation in tx. SXMS_IECONF.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for your input. Below are the steps I have done to create Alert rule.

  1. Created Alert rule in ID, assigned required Configuration Object, selected all available Runtime Components (including Central Integration Engine) and created a Consumer.
  2. Configured Java System Properties > Services XPI Service : AF Core > Changed alerting.target and alerting.isActive. Also Configured Java Mail Client.
  3. Scheduled the Job under Java Scheduler for same Consumer created in ID.
  4. In ABAP Stack, changed the parameters ALERTING_IS_ACTIVE and ALERTING_TARGET and set it to "1".

With above configuration, alert is getting generated for ICO approach.

But for classical approach, I am facing issue:

  • If message is failing at mapping level, alert is not getting generated. Do I need to configure ABAP Stack as well for generating alerts?
  • In Alert Rule -ID, I have added Configuration Scenario for Classical approach (Business Systems, Channels, Receiver Agreement, Sender Agreement, Receiver Determination, Interface Determination)
