Kernel Version Upgrade

Dear All,

Currently we are having kernel 742 PL 200 in our system. We want to upgrade it to 742 PL 400 or 745 PL 100.

Can you please let me know regarding the kernel version which will be stable for our system.

Our SAP system is NW 7.4 SP04.

Hello Sandip,

Both kernel versions / patch levels mentioned by you should be fine.

You can search for notes using the keyword:

     KRNL + version + PL + patch level

In order to find all the "regressions" for that particular kernel.

For example, to see whether there are known regressions for the kernel 742 patch 400, search for SAP notes using the keyword "KRNL742PL400".

This procedure is described at the SAP note 1802333.
