SAP PI Archiving or Deleting the data.

Hi PI Experts,

We are using SAP PI 7.1 in our project since 2010 and now DB is occupied by around 900 GB.

Shall we remove the historical data or Archiving the data. Which is the better option?

In case if we are planning to delete the previous data, what is the process to remove the data from the tables.

Also I have a doubt that is it recommended to test the deletion process in Dev server initially or shall we directly do this on Prd environment.

Please help in achieving this task.

Always do the deletion process in Dev server initially  followed by production.
