Sample Testing Industry Configuration

Hai all,

How SAP= to be configured for testing industry

Like a Pathology laboratory

1. To give a quotation to customer either

     Full health check up

     For individual test (Blood test)

     In Individual test - for particular test Parameter. (like ONLY -  WBC count, Hemoglobin)

2.  Receive the customer sample

3.  Record the test results with Quo reference

4.  Give a final Invoice and final Test with quotation reference

This is for learning new business configuration,

Please suggest on the modules involved and steps can be followed.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

Are looking for a standard way or some pre-defined solutions from SAP related to healthcare?

If this is related to the pre-defined solution from SAP, then have a look at the following link:

Or else you are looking to develop a solution based on SAP R/3. Then the critical part of this depends on how you deal with following:

Full health check up
For individual test (Blood test)
In Individual test - for particular test Parameter. (like ONLY -  WBC count, Hemoglobin)

Just to hint you, in opinion variant configuration should be able to fit in that requirement. Where you can create your own variant for the package and do GR for those variant materials with batch management active for receiving the pathology sample. With that fit in your customer registration, quotation, sales, pathology sample collection, report delivery and invoicing process.
