Hybris Log on

Hi All,

            We got Hybris Marketing and need to understand how I can log on , As a logon information I got

SAP HANA Database :System id

                                     Instance number

                                      SAP Hana Version

SAP Hana Server Details: Host name vhhcctcedb01.ams.hec.xxxx/ IP address

SAP System: system id

                       Client

Virtual host id

Host name

HTTP/HTTPS

Do I need to download SAP GUI and add details ( which I tried but doesn't work) or is there a seprate GUI for Hybris?

The backend for hybris Marketing is an ABAP system. So, to be able to work on things like IMG Customizing or ABAP custom development, you will need SAP GUI. Normally, you should be able to connect to the ABAP system from the SAP logon pad provided you've entered the details there correctly. And, from the ABAP system, you should be able to launch the frontend (built in UI5) by executing transaction START_CEI.

                    But my problem is when i have added details on GUI logon pad but there seems to be two host names(one is genenral and other is outbound ), which one should i use in log on pad and in logon pad u see that there is option for the application server, Is the hostname and the application server same?
