Dear Experts!,

I've been searching for ways to modify / deactivate calling of transaction code from a transaction code.

Sample:

Standard report REISCN, if you click contract number it will open RECN.

I would like to modify/remove functionally, because I have created a transaction variant disabling modification of selected tabs/fields.

Variant is working properly if being directly opened with the transaction code, but if tcode is opened thru a linked tcode, original layout is being displayed.

For your suggestions please. Thank you!

Hi,

Transaction variant works on T-code level. It does not work on Program level. So if the Transaction variant is created for any Tcode say T1, then when T1 is executed then Transaction variant works as desired. However , when we execute this T1 via some linked Tcode or by its associated program, then variant wont work at all.

hi Siddhart, yes variants do not work if when called or linked to another tcode, we have opted to create a validation for this.
