Why script is client dependant?

Can any body tell me please <b>Why script is Client Dependant.</b>

I need what is the actually logic behind making scripts client dependant.

There should be no logic in making scripts Client dependent..coz thier successors smartforms are client independent...Why scripts are client dependent....they must be stored in client dependent data tables ex STXH is a table which has MANDT as the first field.

The client is a self-contained unit in the R3 system, with seperate set of Master data and its own set of Tables.

When a change is made in one client all other clients are affected in the system - this type of objects are called Client independent objects.

For script its vice-versa.
