Alert Configuration - Customized Body in SAP PO

Hi Experts,

My alert is working fine and email is getting generated but it is coming in very unpresentable format.

I am using AlertConsumerJob for scheduling my alert jobs.

**Also, I have a requirement where I need to pull data from the payload. Is it possible?

For eg - If we want to bring idoc number from idoc control record to email.

Please let me know your inputs on this.

Hi Nidhi,

You can achieve this using enhanced alert consumer job (AlertConsumerJobV2), which was introduced in PI 7.31 SP16 / 7.4 SP11. This job enables you to customize subject and body of PO alert mails by using a given set of variables. Please refer to a SAP Note 2088606 that describes this job, as well as to a blog that provides an example of its usage.

Regarding requirement to provide IDoc number in the alert mail, it is also possible by configuring user defined message search against IDoc number field of a message payload, and including user defined message search attributes into generated alert mail body. See a blog that provides an example for this.
