Data mapping from ECC to GTS

Hello Experts,

In our project system, BOM are not in SYNC between ECC and GTS.

Could you please let me know how the BOM sync can happen between ECC and GTS especially when the BOM is set for deletion?

How the same status will be updated in GTS?

Could you please tell for which process you are transferring BOM to GTS? Is it for Compliance checks, US re-export or Preference determination?

Hi Vaibhav,

Its normal BOM master data transfer from ECC to GTS system. So you can consider it under Compliance management.

Problem is with the BOMs which are marked for deletion. ECC system will throw error saying that 'BOM does not exist' and the data in GTS is not sync because of this.

Please suggest how can we make the data sync for deletion marked BOMs.

Change pointers are configured with the field STKO-LOEKZ.

Hi Dheemahi,

Please make sure that an entry with KEY is also maintained. Also, i have found some SAP notes for BOM deletion transfer. Check if anyone of them is applicable in your case.

SAP Note 1563191, 1711850.

There are many more SAP notes on BOM transfer which you may want to explore.

In my opinion, if you are trying to transfer deleted BOM manually to GTS, then that is an expected behavior however the deletion flag of a BOM should be transferred automatically to GTS via change pointers.

Please check if you have an entry created in table BDCP2 once you mark a BOM for deletion in ECC and if this entry if processed from the table after BD21 or RBDMIDOC.

This may help you to understand where the issue could be.
