Installation PAS for EHP7 ERP 6.0

Dear all

Status: ERP 6.00 EHP7 on HANA (SOH). CentralInstanz  on Windows

Target: Installation  ASCS andPAS on a new Windows Server (both on the same Server)

Steps:

SWPM 10_SP10_6 (newest)

1. Stop SAP Instanz on 'old Server' : Ok

2. Installation ASCS with BS 2013 SR2- EHP7 for  ERP 6.0 ABAP SR2 - SAP HANA Database - Distributed System - ASCS : Ok

3. Installation PAS

- SWPM always ask after Exports - CD

So what is the right choice. the only path we found , where no Export CD is required is System copy

Is this the right way?

We have done so. what we saw are some ABAP Reports, that are running in the post activities. Is this correct

actually, you can only copy the PAS as for this NetWeaver release this is supported.

See the system copy guide for NetWeaver 7.4 at service.sap.com/instguides, chapter

"6.1 Copying the Primary Application Server Instance Only".

Are you trying to install ERP 6.00 EHP7 on HANA (SOH) system?

or

trying to copy your system to a distributed system on HANA DB?

If copying what is the source system's DB name? HANA?

we have a running SOH. Now the applikationserver (Centralinstanz) should move to a new, other Hardware as a distributed System (Ascs and PAS on the same hardware).

We are not copy the database.

Hi Thomas,

Do you mean that you want to separate your Primary Application Server (PAS) with your database server (change from standard system to distributed system)?

Or do you want to add an additional dialog instance?
